A SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY OF CONVERSIONS IN KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakh society went through such policies as Russification and Christianization during the Russian occupation period, atheism Soviets religious revival after its independence. After independence, missionary work of Christian religion along with Islam increased. As a result activities that are increasing today, Kazakhs who have changed their started to appear in society. This research explores intensive emerged independence from sociological perspective. Then, qualitative method sociology was used investigate current complex events change. There three (complementary) techniques we research. They are: Interview, document examination observation. In our research, 25 individuals were interviewed personal information about them provided. The process changing reasons they examined.
